It's helps to keep me going..

Hi All.

I wanted to share with you one of my absolute favorite poems. One that I hold close to me and that helps me through tough times. I'm sure some of you may already know it and some may be new to it. Either way, may it inspire you to be the best that you are.

IF....by Rudyard Kipling

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing thiers and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream--and not make dreams your master;
If you can think--and not make your thoughts your aim,
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted with knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you've given your life to, broken,
And stoop and build'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make on heap of all your winnings
And risk it on on turn of pitch and toss,
And lose and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "HOLD ON!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings-nor lost the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men cound with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!

This poem makes me want to fight for what I believe on and to hold on to hope. I hope it touches you any way as it has touched me. Either way, there will be more poetry to come.

Love you all!

Resolutions and thoughts...

Hi there.

Am I the only one who drinks iced coffee in the winter? I can't tell you how many times I have had to ask a server to re-make my drink (which I HATE doing) because I am craving an iced.

They look at me like I am an alien, then in their passive-aggressive manner-they make the drink. Attention to all of you passive aggressors...we know you're pissed....it's not a secret.

My least favorite thing is passive aggresion.

Resolutions.....

1.) To really start writing down things that I'm happy about every day (even as small as a spumoni shake).
2.) To be more in touch with those that I love. I hope you all know I AM working on this.
3.) To have my body become a powerhouse of flexibility and strentgh by summer...(really..)
4.) To let those around me know how much I appreciate their love and support through thick and thin.
5.) To get to know my family better.
6.) To do more crafting.

So, please share yours. I really am interested....

I can't wait to celebrate 2008!!

Hi EVERYone!!

I know it's been a while and some of you may have even stopped reading my blog....but I'm back with a vengeance.

It's a new year. Everything that happened last year should either be cherished for what it was or somehow forgotten. Remember- Everything happens for some reason-the good and the bad.

So enough of the philosopy (even though I truly mean it!)

I thought it would be fun to share New Year's resolutions...or if your a fellow New englander- ways to make it through the snow. So I will share my resolutions and some new websites (to come later), recipies, and some lovely inspirational pictures and musical inspiration.

Love and Peace to you all....ahhhrite?

Ah, it is fall, it is fall (the leaves are fAlling everywhere)..

OK..

So I didn't get to the Boston Veggie Fest, or to hear the reading in JP of EE Cummings (one of my favorite poets)...but I DID indeed take some pictures of the lovely scenery that has been entering my mind....

Also, I saw "Things we lost in the fire"....I'm sorry but how amazing (and beautiful) is Benicio? Is it just me and my love of men a little rough around the edges??? Amazing movie.

In the future- Damien Rice, Sinead O'connor, and CAKE will be headed to the Orpheum.

Enjoy the sun tomorrow as we may not see it for a while for all of us with SAD.
